Retirement is something virtually all of us look forward to. While the idea of owning 100% of your time appeals to virtually everyone what to do with that time is becoming the larger question. For instance, according to Gallup 74% of Americans plan to work past age 65. What might you do and how might you reinvent yourself?
If you find you haven’t effectively addressed this you might want to consider a few things.
Start by considering a few basic questions: no matter how outrageous what have you always wanted to try? What are you passionate about? What brings you the greatest joy? Whom do you admire and why do admire them? Answers to these questions will likely provide valuable insights and a sense of direction.
Finally, count yourself among fortunate if you have or will reach a point of total financial independence. It sounds corny but start by counting your blessings. Fewer and fewer Americans are achieving these levels of economic prosperity.
